Thoughts to Action…

Last night, I came up with what seemed like the perfect way to handle a challenging conversation with one of my team members. I had anticipated every possible scenario and felt fully prepared. But as soon as I considered putting it into action, I began to see numerous complications I hadn’t anticipated.

That is when I realized converting thoughts even if it seems a very good idea to action is not easy. Moreover, imagine converting most of your thoughts to action what it will lead to?

The barrier is reality, and that’s where knowledge and wisdom kick in. When you think of doing something, even though it’s possible, it has to be vetted with your knowledge and experience. And also requires a lot of courage.

So, if it feels hard to move from thought to action, that’s because it is hard! And it should be—good ideas deserve careful planning and due diligence. The thoughts that survive this process are the ones worth acting on, and they’ll lead to real, meaningful progress, one smart decision at a time.

Action and Talk requires almost same amount of work…

We all agree that our mind is the most critical resource for us to grow. Our mind uses almost the same resource whether we are “Taking actions” for an activity where the mind coordinates with the body, or “Talking” about the activity where we explain it to others.

This brings out an interesting case:

  • It’s always good to talk or write down about the activity before performing as this will help us to be ready for the actual action.
  • In some scenarios taking action is better than talking because it almost uses the same energy.
  • A lot of talks drain us because of so many simulations, so talk less and act more.

So decide which one to use and when? The old adage “talk less, act more” indeed gives us a clue.

Be with action…

In this time of turmoil, we should be with action, rather than thinking impatiently, the action is our only way out…

Don’t think too much what will happen after this…

Don’t think too much whether it can happen to you…

Don’t think too much whether we will come out of this or not…

All of the above we cannot control but we act for ourselves and ensure we can come out of this much better person than what we are…
